If you are looking for a place where you can make a difference in the life of a child, Project Harmony is looking for you. We are seeking an experienced and committed Vice President of Clinical Services to join our dynamic and innovative organization.
Position Description
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Vice President of Clinical Services will serve as a key executive leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions for the organization. This VP role will provide collaborative leadership of Project Harmony Mental Health Services with oversight and responsibility for management of both clinic-based and community, including school-based, mental health services. This position works with Directors and other program leaders to create the strategic vision and help coordinate the initiatives and support needed within each program area. The VP of Clinical Services serves as a liaison with key stakeholders, funding sources, and community agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements the strategic vision, service offerings, and operations of the mental health department aligned with organizational objectives
- Provide leadership and supervision to Mental Health department ensuring clinical excellence
- Work with Executive Team to establish agency budget priorities and monitor program budget including involvement in billing process for services
- Coordinates all clinical services to ensure clients receive appropriate clinical treatments set forth by licensing, accreditation, contractual agreements, and agency policies and procedures
- Provide direct supervision to Directors delivering coaching, leadership development and guidance to those managing others
- Ensure quality services for the department through professional development, clinical supervision, employee engagement and well-being
- Effectively communicate and coordinate across the agency’s mental health programs to maximize outcomes for clients, families and partners
- Adjust program priorities or identify/expand new programs in consultation with CPO and Executive Leadership
- Provide comprehensive and current knowledge of mental health research and trends to provide up-to-date and effective clinical practices
- Assist in the development and oversight of program grants and contracts to ensure the successful implementation of mental health services, coordination of services, and achievement of program performance measures
- Serve as a senior leader representing the interest of Project Harmony by attending functions, community forums, and events that promote the work of the organization
- Ensure culturally competent services are provided to all families we serve without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, gender or sexual orientation

Requirements
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate degree preferred in social work, counseling, public administration, psychology, or related field
- Licensed practitioner in social work, counseling, public administration, psychology, or related field preferred, active in the state of Nebraska
Experience And Training
- Experience in trauma informed practices and working with individuals exposed to trauma
- 5+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in non-profit organizations or clinical program leadership
- 5+ years’ experience in child welfare or mental health related field
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of non-profit administration, program development, research and the utilization of clinical data, fiscal management and supervision of employees
- Knowledge of systems related to the provision of mental health services including insurance and legislative systems
- Knowledge of trauma responsive practices and working with individuals exposed to trauma
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with co-workers, key stakeholders and business partners
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with co-workers, key stakeholders, and business partners
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, confidence and ethical standards
- Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as part of a team

- Must be willing to work flexible hours
- Must submit to a thorough criminal history background check
- Must have access to a vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Position may involve some travel, primarily within the state
