We are now looking for an Account Manager for our Packaging & Hygiene Solutions division at Kemira Australia Pty Ltd.
Kemira Australia specialises in innovative solutions that enable customers to create fibre-based products suited for a circular economy and replacing plastics, while optimising resource efficiency, product performance, and quality. Serving paper, board, tissue, and moulded fibre packaging manufacturers across the globe.
This position will be based Tumut, NSW reporting to the ANZ Sales and Applications Manager.
In This Role:
- You will ensure customer requirements are met by Kemira’s applications.
- You will be responsible for best safe practice, in handling products and applications. Tasks include; performance surveys, on-site inventory management, problem solving, inspection of equipment and make/co-ordinate repairs, assist with off-loading of bulk trucks and filling of customer tanks.
- Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on the application of company products or services to customer requirements.
- Ensure that customers are routinely informed of best safe practice with regard to the handling, application, storage and disposal of Kemira Australia products supplied. Further, ensure that any unsafe practices are reported, both to the correct member of the customer’s management team and to Kemira Australia management as required by the Responsible Care code of practice.
- Monitor Product usage rates and provide accurate, timely feedback to the production and admin team at Hallam to ensure security of supply and optimum inventory levels.
- Routine performance surveys and problem solving
- Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential customers, supported by the Sales and Application Manager, and marketing and technical personnel from Australia and the region.
- The Account Manager is expected to be fully conversant with customer requirements as well as the latest trends in product and technical developments. Some interstate travel and extended hours may be required on occasions.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- The successful applicant will have relevant experience in the Pulp & Paper industry. They will be computer literate with strong interpersonal, negotiating/influencing skills, excellent customer focus and business orientation. A flexible and co-operative approach, an eye for detail, and an ability to maintain commercial confidentiality are essential.
- Your energy and a strong commitment to achieving the highest customer satisfaction
- A pre-employment medical will be required and physical fitness is essential.
- Ideally chemistry or chemical engineering degree qualified with appropriate pulp and paper industry experience
- Forklift licence and mechanical aptitude
- Your hands-on ability and ‘can-do’ attitude to the position
