We are currently seeking a Project Program Management Advisor to join our team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).
Position Summary
Our innovative company is looking to fill the role of Senior Scrum Master. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support one or more agile teams as the Sr. Scrum Master.
- Facilitates Scrum events, helps the team remove impediments, and ensures the team adheres to Scrum principles and values.
- Coach and mentor Agile teams on Scrum principles (SAFE Agile preferred), helping them become self-organizing and cross-functional.
- Remove impediments or obstacles that hinder the team's progress.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, openness, and transparency within the team.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure a well-defined and prioritized product backlog.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, conducting regular retrospectives and implementing changes to enhance team performance. Additionally, help the team to reflect on their processes and find ways to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and report Agile metrics to track the progress of the team and the quality of their work.
- Works to resolve conflicts within the team and promotes a collaborative and positive working environment. Encourages open communication and transparency.
- Actively supports and participates in the growth of the organization’s Agile Journey
- Ensures cross-team dependencies effectively managed and communicated.
- Protects the team from external disruptions and ensures that the Scrum framework is followed, creating a conducive environment for the team to thrive.
- Perform issue and risk management to minimize development effort impact.
- Support aspects of CoPs, Organizational Transformation or Scrum of Scrums (when needed)
- Mentor/Coach Scrum Master colleagues when appropriate
Supplemental Job Functions:
- Performs additional duties as directed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Strong understanding of software development practices.
- A-CSM or PSM II or SASM Certification (Preferred)
- 4+ yrs. as a Scrum Master
- Effective at communicating with and influencing the assigned delivery team(s), stakeholders, and management.
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum practices, principles, and their application in various contexts.
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, facilitating root cause analysis.
- Lead by example, empowering team members, and fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Manage resistance to change, guiding teams through transformations.
- Identifies and addresses impediments within the Scrum team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to be flexible as projects are often non-routine and require re-prioritizing of workload.
