Key Duties And Essential Functions:
- High level project planning, budgeting scheduling, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects.
- Maintain and improve professional long-term relationships with customers & vendors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and installation to ensure project objectives are met within established timelines and budget constraints.
- Use SolidWorks for design and development of projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and stakeholders. Provide regular updates and address any concerns or issues that arise during project execution.
- Perform industrial take-offs (Bill of Materials) for material purchasing.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a degree in a related discipline required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in within waterworks, piping, valves, or mechanical systems sector.
- Computer proficient, including Microsoft Office products.
- Proficient with SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of AWWA, ASME, ASTM, ISO, AWS standards and municipal specifications.
- Good communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
- Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the Water Treatment industry or SFWS company products/services.
- Experience in budget management and resource planning.
- 6-10 years working within waterworks, piping, valves, or mechanical systems sector.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.

Physical Demands:
- Sedentary Work: Primarily seated while working on a computer or phone for extended periods.
- Repetitive Tasks: Regular typing, data entry, and handling customer queries.
- Minimal Physical Activity: Occasionally moving around the office or home workspace to retrieve materials or attend meetings. May have to lift 10-20lbs occasionally.
Equipment And Tools:
- Technology driven-Use of computers, headsets, telephones, cell phones, and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
Interactions With Customers:
- High contact role-Continuous interaction with customers and internal employees via Teams, phone, text or email.
- Stressful Situations-May deal with difficult or upset customers or employees, requiring patience and conflict resolution skills.
Noise And Distractions:
- Moderate Noise-In office may involve background chatter or phone calls in open workspaces.
Mental And Emotional Demands:
- Problem-Solving: Constantly trouble shooting and resolving customer and employee concerns.
- Emotional Resilience-Managing stressful or challenging interactions with professionalism and composure
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in communication and documentation
