Head of Specialty Care Medical Affairs
Your Tasks And Responsibilities:
- Provide VACC leadership (Vision, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach) to execute all tasks
- Collaborate and co-create with Global Medical colleagues to develop the capabilities of Science/Medical Experts and enhance their performance
- Provide necessary Science/Medical Experts resources to the Product Teams
- Flexibly adjust Science/Medical Experts resources to align with the company's strategy and needs
- Facilitate talent flows across TAs, collaborating with other MATA heads
- Collaborate with the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) cluster head to ensure strategic alignment of MSL excellence and provide training to MSLs
- Collaborate with MA Physicians to gain medical clinical insights and advice based on their clinical practice experiences for the development and execution of medical strategy
- Lead to enable optimal decision making for patients’ health by advancing guideline-directed therapy and compliant navigation of regulatory requirements
- Lead to develop the full medical value and promote appropriate use of our products
- Manage the budget in accordance with the company budget framework
- Ensure compliance of all medical practices with specific regulatory standards and requirements
- Proactively and flexibly collaborate with stakeholders with a creative mindset for our products and customers
Who You Are:
- Medical Doctor or advanced scientific degree, such as a PhD, PharmD, etc.
- Oncologist is preferred for this position
- More than 5 years of work experience in a pharmaceutical company in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related positions
- Proven track record of leadership in Medical Affairs
- Commercial business acumen and understanding
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and other IT systems
- Fluent in Japanese and business-level English
- Proactively and flexibly collaborates with stakeholders with a creative mindset for our products and customers
- Highly committed, determined and results-driven, persisting in the face of challenges and setbacks
- Able to work effectively and collaboratively across the organization
- Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally
- Effective communicator at all levels of the business stakeholders
- Upholds high ethical standards and personal credibility
