Job Description:

Account Manager (AM) for Lubrizol Fluid Engineering (LFE) is responsible maintaining and expanding relationships with regional customers. The AM is accountable to deliver sustainable business growth and meet financial targets with their assigned regional accounts with winning value propositions and ensuring a professional purchasing experience.  In this role, The AM is expected to leverage commercial excellence and consultative selling fundamentals to successfully deliver customer growth through across all LFE product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Essential Job Functions: 
  • Maintains and expand relationships with LFE customers and is responsible for achieving sales goals and assigned corporate account objectives.
  • Actively collect information to build strategic account plans to grow customer business and overall market share.  Provide annual plan input to commercial team for assigned accounts.
  • Analyze customer profile, business plans, competition status and SWOT, to develop strategic customer plans for short- and long-term growth objectives.
  • Drive revenue, deliver expected margin, and ensure continued profitable growth of the LFE product and service portfolio with their accounts.
    • Collaborate closely with LFE sales and product management cross functional teams to define, decide on, and lead the implementation of pricing decisions.
  • Develop and share customer and market insights.
  • Accountable to develop and manage the sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Owns the account plan document maintenance withing CRM.
  • Monitor and provide updates to the rolling forecast via the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for assigned accounts.
  • First line technical support to assigned customers.
  • Process lead inquiries received by customer service, internet, voice mail, others.
  • Review requests for samples and literature from various Lubrizol websites and respond as appropriate.
  • Use CRM to update customer profiles, provide meeting minutes, develop, and implement a lead tracking and follow-up system.
  • Assist in the collection of receivables as necessary.
  • Work to prevent problems as well as resolving supply challenges.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and monthly reports.
  • Drives the execution of Corporation’s priorities:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 3 (3) years of Account Management in a business-to-business environment
  • Must be able to present oneself professionally via excellent interpersonal, telephone, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, presentation and negotiating skills.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to manage and prioritize tasks/projects.
  • Strong follow up skills.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Good team player and self-learner
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks on time with high quality.
  • An ‘All In’ attitude and ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

Considered A Plus:

  • Bilingual
  • Experience in New Business Development.
  • Experience in Product Management.
