Role And Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery located in manufacturing areas. This includes lasers, cranes, welders, press brakes, machining centers and forklifts.
- Troubleshoot equipment or systems operation problems.
- Helping team members with maintenance duties, performing repairs, lubing machinery as needed. This position will encompass all maintenance functions regarding machinery.
- Assisting with the installation of new equipment or relocating machinery. This includes all aspects of preparation for the new equipment.
- Other maintenance duties as assigned include cleaning & buildings and grounds maintenance.
- Operating scissor lift or working on ladders.
- Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
- Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
- Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
- Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Read technical information needed to perform maintenance or repairs.
- Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
- Lay out work according to specifications.
- Plan work procedures.
- Record information about parts, materials, or repair procedures.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Secondary schooling (Technical School)
- 3-5 years maintenance experience
- Knowledge of machine functions and machining processes
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics systems.
- Understanding of machine drawings and schematics.
Preferred Skills
- Working in a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, along with a keen sense of diligence.
- Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation.
