The Opportunity

Our Lysaght and Fielders brands are being brought under one aligned state sales strategy. We’re excited by the opportunity this brings for our team, business and customers alike!

Your direct team includes metro focused external sales personnel dedicated to each brand and their customers. Additionally, you’ll work with your Branch Management peers and their teams to ensure full State alignment of sales strategies and execution.

Today you’ll focus on ensuring your team and customers are supported to manage the requirements of ‘here and now’. To achieve this, you’ll spend time in the office and out in the field learning about the business, your team and key customers.

Tomorrow’s focus will see you take a future lens. Of course, that will involve strategy and planning. Equally you’ll develop the capability of your people and be encouraged to continue your own professional development.

What Will You Do?

  • optimise the VIC/TAS sales budget: develop and implement a commercially astute sales strategy and plan to deliver on service, volume, margin and profit targets
  • foster an inclusive and high performing team: coach and motivate your team to enhance engagement, well-being, capability and performance
  • build meaningful customer relationships: continue to grow collaborative partnerships with our customers and build your knowledge of their business  
  • proactively monitor business operations: identify sales, service, customer and market trends to respond to any opportunities and risks
  • facilitate future-focused innovation and change: collaborate with a diverse group of internal teams, influencing others to enable business improvements and facilitate innovative customer solutions

More About You

As a sales leader with an enthusiasm to see your team succeed, you will bring:

  • a demonstrated ability to lead, engage and develop your team
  • exceptional customer relationship management and influencing skills
  • prior success in crafting targeted sales strategies informed by market trends and customer segmentation
  • excellent knowledge of sales operations and CRM (e.g. Salesforce or similar)
  • the ability to build constructive partnerships with others to achieve business outcomes
  • excellent commercial acumen and analysis skills including an understanding of pricing and margin and its impact on profitability
