Your Role:

The Material Management Associate II independently performs routine warehouse tasks such as receiving, transporting, and documenting materials in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards. They are expected to troubleshoot minor issues and identify operational inefficiencies. Success in this role depends on problem-solving skills, proficiency in inventory systems, and strong organizational habits.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Operate and begin to provide basic training to others in the use of Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), including electric pallet jacks, turret truck and similar equipment.
  • Perform fundamental transactions using ERP (SAP) and RF systems while providing first-level troubleshooting support in coordination with external support teams.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials; verify documentation and enter data accurately in ERP systems, adhering to GDP.
  • Label, stage, and store materials in appropriate warehouse locations, including cold storage, following cGMP and safety protocols.
  • Pick, pack, prepare, and ship orders, including hazardous and biological materials, in compliance with cGMP and approved procedures.
  • Reservation fulfillment to support CDMO operations efficiently and accurately.
  • Transport materials across the site ensuring compliance with cGMP standards and safety protocols.
  • Assist with daily and weekly inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate material tracking and inventory control.
  • Deliver materials to internal teams such as production and quality while ensuring all movements are documented per GDP.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMP, and GDP while proactively identify and suggesting minor process improvements.
  • Support deviation investigations. -
  • Use shipping software (e.g., FedEx/UPS) to prepare outbound shipments accurately and maintain related documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas consistent with cGMP requirements.
  • Comply with all applicable safety regulations, including use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives or projects.
  • Support general warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or GED, plus 2-4 years of experience in a regulated cGMP material management environment and basic operating experience with SAP; or an equivalent combination of experience and proficiency in similar ERP systems, cGMP and biomanufacturing environments

Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to lift up to 65lbs on regular basis
  • Ability to work in 2-8 C and -20 C environments
  • Must safely operate material handling equipment and complete DOT training within 90 Days of hire
  • Ability to navigate digital systems and tools in highly regulated cGMP, GDP, and biomanufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail, be able to adapt to evolving environments
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication with cross-functional teams

Schedule:

  • Occasional weekend and night hours, based on business needs
  • Required on-call rotation for after-hours support

The employee will use a hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments in storage/ work areas. 

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a temperature-controlled facility without exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures. Generally, this job is performed in a Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse Facility within an Office Building. Occasions in which this position must work outside, in which temperatures may vary. This position deals with temperature-controlled materials in which personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required due to extreme temperatures. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn.

The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $46,100-$54,200/year, reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications. 

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of considerations, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.

All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or commissions.
