Job Description
Augsburg University’s APA-accredited Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program invites applications for a core faculty position (non-tenure track) to begin in August 2026. Our program trains students using a broad, generalist, practitioner-scholar model. Multicultural training is core to our program and is woven throughout our curriculum and practicum training experiences. Further, our program is dedicated to the values of responsibility, relationship, and rigor. Through these values, we cultivate a vocation that benefits society, promotes well-being, and advances justice. This full-time, in-person program offers small class sizes and a cohesive, egalitarian faculty that holds a wide variety of theoretical orientations and applied research interests.
Preferred candidates will be committed to teaching and mentoring in clinical psychology at the graduate level. Responsibilities for this full-time position (11-month appointment) will include teaching, academic advising, supervision of student research, and service to the university. Preferred candidates will also have competence in applied research within the field of clinical psychology. Classes are offered on weekdays, with occasional evening classes. This position will allow the individual to integrate their unique knowledge, skills, and experiences within a program that emphasizes the role of context and multiculturalism in clinical psychology.
All faculty are afforded time for professional practice or scholarship. This time for professional activity aligns with our commitment to integrate clinical practice and/or research with teaching.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $80,000 - 85,000 Annually

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology or a related field by the time the position begins.
- Competence in applied and/or translational research in psychology
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in higher education (particularly graduate education)
- Experience mentoring doctoral students in clinical work and/or research endeavors
- Licensed as a psychologist in Minnesota, or a commitment to complete licensure in Minnesota within the first two years of employment.
