Your New Job

In the coming years, we’ll roll out our Manufacturing System of the Future at IKEA Industry. Your primary focus will be driving and developing Operational Technology (OT) solutions across our factories

On a typical working day, you will:

• Act as a Solution Specialist for OT solutions and a functional solution expert for users and stakeholders
• Drive and develop the implementation of OT solutions in our factories
• Create efficient interfaces and connection between IT and OT, as one Digital
• Manage the life cycle of OT and automation applications
• Be innovative and bring future ideas to our business
• Collaborate with process and business functions, OT Architects, super users, application management, software suppliers, service operations, architecture, information security and other relevant functions
• Develop training plans and train users

Qualifications

What we’d like you to bring to the table

The role as a Solution Specialist OT requires you to:

• Be enthusiastic about developing and implementing automation and OT solutions
• Have relevant experience with IT and/or PLC systems, HMI, SCADA and Historian databases within manufacturing
• Have previous experience in implementing IT and/or OT solutions
• Be a strong relationship builder and team player in a multicultural environment
• Be down-to-earth with willpower and the ability to create togetherness and enthusiasm
• Be passionate about continuous development
• Have knowledge and interest in production and industrial digitalization
• Hold an academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent working experience
• Have experience from an international and/or manufacturing organization
• Have good communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Location for this position is flexible, it can either be based out of any IKEA Industry unit in our 7 countries (Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Portugal, China) or IKEA Industry office in Malmö, Sweden. The position requires global travel.
