Job Description

As a Communications Manager in Tokyo, you'll work to establish and maintain Wix's public image in Japan, drive engagement with media and influencers, and align local PR activities with global strategies. You'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that supports Wix's growth in the region. In your day-to-day, you will: 

• Build and maintain relationships with industry media, tech journalists and social influencers 
• Manage corporate social media presence and publish engaging content 
• Plan and execute PR around events (online/offline), including executive speaking support 
• Write and distribute press releases, monitor coverage, and report KPIs 
• Coordinate with global HQ to align local PR activities with global strategy

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Comms/PR experience, gained in PR agencies or in-house corporate PR 
• Experience with press release distribution platforms and media list management 
• Familiarity with SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies for PR campaigns.
• Proficiency with AI/Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) for research, planning, and content creation 
• An adaptable collaborator with a proactive mindset and a strong curiosity in technology.
• Keen crisis awareness and a sharp eye for both information accuracy and novel insights relevant to the local market.
• Language Requirements: Native Japanese, Advanced-Business English
• Experience in video content creation (e.g. short-form or event highlight videos) - an advantage
• Experience contributing to thought leadership initiatives (e.g., industry reports, whitepapers, keynote support) - an advantage
