About The Role:
- Reporting to: General Manager (Solid Line) / Chief Commercial Officer Oceania (Functional)
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

As Chief Commercial Officer NZ, you will drive growth by expanding ANL-CMA CGM’s client base, leading the Sales department, and positioning the company as a preferred logistics partner. You will oversee commercial strategy, customer development, and market analysis in close coordination with regional and group management.
The role and responsibilities will include:
- Lead the commercial department to achieve budgets, volumes, and market share targets across all ANL-CMA CGM trades.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow services, expand market coverage, and secure new and existing business in New Zealand.
- Strengthen customer relationships while promoting ANL-CMA CGM and Group products to drive revenue and growth.
- Monitor competitor activity, market performance, and customer data, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Ensure team performance through coaching, training, and development, while conducting annual appraisals and career planning.
- Represent ANL-CMA CGM at industry events, forums, and internal meetings, ensuring alignment with regional and group strategy.
- Uphold company policies, ethics, and compliance standards while delivering on strategic action plans and KPIs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, International Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field.
- 10–15 years’ experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain, with 5–8 years in a senior commercial management role.
- Proven track record in achieving budgets, setting objectives, and driving sales team performance.
- Strong leadership, change management, and people development skills.
- Commercially driven with excellent negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong reporting and presentation capabilities.
