Your role:
To strengthen our corporate tax department, we are seeking a Director for the International and M&A Tax area. You will become part of our team and report directly to the Head of International and M&A Tax. In this role, you will closely collaborate with colleagues from the tax department and serve as a key contact for business teams and other corporate departments regarding the tax assessment of business investments, global restructurings, and capital measures. You will independently manage national and international projects, advise foreign subsidiaries on cross-border matters, review the impact of latest tax law changes on our group of companies, and coordinate with external advisors as needed. The independent and comprehensive tax support of M&A projects, including their financing and post-deal integration will be a focus area of your responsibilities. Currently, our team consists of 7 members located in Darmstadt, Germany, and Warsaw, Poland. The new role is based in Darmstadt, Germany.

Who You Are:

• You hold a degree (Diploma/Second state examination/Master) in law, business administration, or a comparable field, along with passing the German tax advisor examination.
• You possess at least 8-10 years of professional experience in international tax law within an auditing/tax consulting firm or in the tax department of an internationally operating company.
• You have in-depth knowledge of national and international tax law.
• You are used to work on complex national or cross-border restructurings and the comprehensive tax support of M&A projects.
• You are a team player with a hands-on mentality and demonstrate a high level of initiative, commitment and resilience.
• You have fluent English skills and communicate confidently in international and intercultural contexts.
