Your Role: The Senior Medical Director EU will lead the development and execution of the European medical strategy for our product-specific late-phase development programs. This role demands a scientifically sound approach, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal SOPs. The Senior Medical Director will also manage Medical Affairs resources effectively to support various plans and projects.

The Senior Medical Director EU is also responsible for line management of Medical Rare Tumours (RT) teams within their allocated countries, and oversight of strategic and tactical activities within those countries. This role will work cross functional with other European Medical Affairs Directors to ensure product level strategic guidance within the allocated countries. Exact Geographic scope is TBC.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Serve as the internal European expert on disease states, products, and competitive intelligence for assigned compounds/indications.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Strategy team to develop the global product strategy and lead the European medical affairs strategy and tactical plans.
  • Oversee life cycle management of compounds in Europe, including Phase IV studies and registries.
  • Drive the execution of product-specific European launch strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and execute advisory boards, publication plans, and educational activities at both European and national levels.
  • Partner with global functions for the European aspects of the investigator-initiated research (IIR) program.
  • Collaborate with Patient Advocacy leads on product-related activities.
  • Provide scientific and medical support for HEOR studies and reimbursement activities.
  • Represent Medical Affairs with internal and external stakeholders in Europe.
  • Line manage and coach direct reports within allocated countries.
  • Participate in European Medical Leadership team and relevant cross-functional leadership meetings.

Who You Are:

  • MD, PhD, or PharmD
  • 12+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in medical affairs function.
  • Must have experience in regional medical affairs, not single market oversight alone.
  • Rare disease experience, with oncology knowledge also desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on teamwork; ability to develop and implement effective strategies; solid scientific analytical and problem-solving skills; project management experience; excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts; proficiency in Adobe Professional and Microsoft Office
  • Fluent English language skills, to business level.
