Responsibilities
You will be part of the Finance Tech - Financial Planning & Analysis team to help design, develop, and enhance financial applications in an agile development environment. You will be leading a team performing full stack development in systems which are highly performing secure and scalable real time and batching systems. You will be closely with the Product Owners and Agile Delivery Managers, in order to craft the best solutions.

Technical:

- Expertise in working full stack web application system design and development. Including high-availability, high-scalability, microservices, CI/CD, testing automation and observability.
- Reduction of technical debt and cost of operations/support.
- Experience in working with modern programming languages like Java, Kotlin, or Python with sufficient knowledge on Front end technologies such as Angular or React.
- Record of delivery despite complex technical interdependencies with cross geographical teams.
- Record of working with Agile process and principles.
- Experience of working in a DevOps environment.
- Experience of upholding incident management, change management and problem management processes.
Essential Functions
- Design, implement and ship highly scalable distributed components using functional programming paradigm using JAVA full stack technologies including but not limited to Angular, Java, Spring boot, Mysql etc.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technical field required. Master’s Degree or other advanced degree preferred.
- 14+ years of relevant experience with 4-6 years’ experience leading teams, preferably within Fintech/Finance.
- Expertise with the Java 8 platform or higher.
- Experience in building complex systems with modern architectures and practices.
- Including high-availability, high-scalability, microservices. Specifically using HTTP, REST and other JAVA full stack technologies including but not limited to Angular, Spring boot, MySQL etc.
- Extensive experience of working in a DevOps environment.
- Experience with Relational and NoSQL database technologies.
- Proven experience delivering highly scalable and available production systems.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and communication/articulation skills.
- Strong business acumen, ability to grasp big picture and explain to team in simple terms.
- Track record of hiring and managing world-class software engineers.
- Proven ability to communicate equally effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle principles.
- Ability to manage multiple competing top priorities in a fast-paced environment.
