- Frontend & UI/UX Leadership: Lead the technical design and implementation of sophisticated frontend features, optimizing user experience through intuitive UI redesigns (e.g., transitioning complex systems to simplified, efficient interfaces).
- Platform Customization & Integration: Customize and extend core platforms like Liferay (themes, portlets, workflows, Service Builder modules) to build scalable and maintainable content management and service delivery systems. Integrate various third-party tools and external APIs to enhance application functionality and data flow.
- DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure: Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as Docker and Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) in AWS. Configure and maintain AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route 53) to ensure optimal performance and delivery.
- Security & Authentication: Implement and manage robust security protocols, including Single Sign-On (SSO) using tools like Auth0 and standard protocols like OAuth2 (Authorization Code, Refresh Token, etc.) for secure access control.
- Quality Assurance & Code Health: Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration test suites (Karma experience preferred) to ensure high code coverage
- Reduce production defects, and significantly increase system reliability.
- Technical Leadership: Architect and maintain custom, modular TypeScript libraries and coding standards across frontend platforms to enforce consistency, improve maintainability, and accelerate development cycles.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and refactor existing codebases to achieve significant improvements in API efficiency and application responsiveness (e.g., optimizing JSON structure, integrating apis for real-time updates).
Qualifications
Required Technical Skills
- Backend: Advanced proficiency in Java and Spring Boot (Microservices architecture). Experience with SQL Server or similar SQL databases.
- Frontend: Expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript/HTML/CSS. Strong experience with frontend state management and building modular, reusable components.

- Authentication: Hands-on experience implementing SSO/OAuth2 using frameworks like Auth0.
- Testing: Strong commitment to code quality with experience in unit and integration testing frameworks (Junit, Power mock a plus).
- Bonus Experience: Familiarity with Liferay DXP development, OpenCV or related media processing libraries, and real-time data communication.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
- 3+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack web application development.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects, mentor junior developers, and drive architectural decisions.
If you are a resourceful engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and delivering highly efficient, secure, and user-centric applications, we encourage you to apply!
