Job Summary

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Superintendent the Contract Administrator is responsible for executing procurement activities with a primary focus on contract development, negations, and administration in compliance with company policies. This role supports operational efficiency and cost control through strategic vendor management and contract oversight.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, draft, and administer contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and requirements.
  • Conduct contract negotiations with vendors, focusing on pricing, delivery terms, warranties, service levels, and risk mitigation with the support of the Supply Chain leadership.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and bid packages; evaluate vendor responses and make recommendations for award.
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, and project teams to ensure contracts are clear, enforceable, and structured for long-term value.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with contractual terms and resolve performance issues or disputes.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and contract records to support audits and compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to foster reliable partnerships while ensuring competitive pricing and value.
  • Support the procurement team in identifying cost-saving opportunities and supply chain risk mitigation strategies.
  • Track market trends and supplier performance to provide insight into sourcing decisions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5-8 years of procurement experience, with significant focus on contract development and negotiations.
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement processes, contract law principles, and supplier performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts.
  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, or other industrial sectors preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
  • Valid drivers license

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000
