Your Impact

As Principal Program Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Dedrone’s most complex and high-impact strategic programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and business stakeholders to align initiatives with company strategy. Your leadership, program management expertise, and ability to bridge technical and business needs will ensure successful outcomes that strengthen Dedrone’s market position.

What You’Ll Do

  • Location: Onsite at our Office in San Francisco
  • Reports To: Chief Product & Technology Officer, Dedrone
  • Direct Reports: None
  • Strategic Leadership: Translate corporate strategy into actionable programs with defined milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Maintain a comprehensive program roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Program Management: Lead the full program lifecycle, from planning and governance to execution and closure. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to scope.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with executives, department heads, and teams to drive alignment, foster engagement, and maintain clear communication across initiatives.
  • Technical Program Management: Oversee programs involving both process and systems implementations, ensuring technical delivery meets business requirements.
  • Resource & Risk Management: Optimize team resources, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track KPIs, analyze program results, and present data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Change Management: Lead adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational changes tied to program rollouts.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements, enhance methodologies, and strengthen program management practices across the organization.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of program management experience, successfully delivering cross-functional, strategic programs in large organizations.
  • Strong technical program management background, with expertise spanning systems and process implementation.
  • Proven leadership and ability to inspire teams without direct reporting lines.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Deep knowledge of program/project management methodologies, governance, and tools.
  • Experience in risk management, change management, and performance tracking.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Work Location

This role is based out of our San Francisco Office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 119,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 178,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
