Finance Intern, Financial Planning & Analysis

We have an immediate opportunity for a recent college graduate to join our Finance team as a Financial Planning (FP&A) Intern.  The FP&A Intern will have an opportunity to accelerate their personal and professional growth through a professional learning environment.  This is an onsite role in our Sunnyvale, California office.
Under the direction of our Director, FP&A, the FP&A Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis within our finance department. Working closely with our finance team, you will support critical financial activities and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop your financial acumen and launch your career in finance!
This position is based in our global headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.  We anticipate this position will work 40 hours per week with a two month duration.

What You’Ll Do (Aka Responsibilities)

• Assist in the preparation of: 
• Financial statements, forecasts, budgets, strategic plans
• Cost control (analysis of cost trends, explanation of variances to budget, and proposing remediation actions)
• Presentations to C-suite, Board of Directors, management and individual department managers
• Support for coordination of budget and forecast process
• Participate in special projects and ongoing enhancements

What You’Ll Bring (Aka Experience, Skills Education)

• Education: 
• Undergraduate degree majoring in finance or accounting, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. Accounting coursework is required. 
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills 
• Able to effectively manage competing priorities 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel 
• Analytical skills with familiarity with accounting, financial analysis and reporting 
• Self-starter/fast learner 
• Ability to work from our Sunnyvale office
