Job Description:

We are searching for an AI/ML Technical Lead to drive project delivery excellence, manage stakeholder relationships, and champion innovative AI/ML initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AI/ML Technical Lead end-to-end delivery of software development projects, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, risk registers, and delivery roadmaps
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts
  • Oversee Scrum Master and ensure optimal implementation of Agile methodologies
  • Monitor project health metrics and proactively address potential issues or roadblocks
  • Provide strategic direction while Scrum Master handles daily ceremonies and team facilitation
  • Government Client Relationship Management to Serve as primary point of contact for government clients and stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular client communications, status updates, and milestone reviews Ensure compliance with government regulations, security requirements, and contracting standards
  • Manage client expectations and negotiate scope changes or timeline adjustments
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across multiple levels of government organizations
  • Navigate complex government procurement and approval processes
  • Innovation Leadership - AI/ML Initiatives Identify opportunities to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing projects and workflows
  • Lead development of AI/ML proof of concepts and pilot programs
  • Collaborate with technical teams to evaluate emerging technologies and their practical applications
  • Present innovative solutions to government clients and secure buy-in for advanced technology initiatives
  • Stay current with AI/ML trends, government technology priorities, and industry best practices
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within client organizations
  • Team Leadership & Development Mentor and develop project team members across technical and non-technical disciplines
  • Foster collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and innovation
  • Coordinate resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple concurrent projects
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development guidance Required

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or related field
  • 3 years of technical project management experience
  • 7 years in software delivery with government clients (federal, state, or local)
  • Demonstrated experience leading AI/ML initiatives or proof of concept development

Nice To Have:

  • Master's degree
  • Proven track record of successful software project delivery in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and implementation strategies
  • Familiarity with government technology standards and compliance requirements Knowledge of DevSecOps, cloud platforms, and modern development tools Understanding of data science principles and analytics platforms Certifications (Preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent AI/ML related certifications (AWS ML, Google Cloud ML, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience managing budgets and contract deliverables
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Security Clearance:

  • An active TS/SCI federal security clearance is required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
