About The Role

HP IQ is a recently created business unit combining the agility of a startup with the scale of an enterprise. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and collaborative professional to join the team. As a part of the strategic Better Together workstream in HP, this role will lead a cross-functional effort to develop software products that deliver better together experiences between HP Poly devices, PCs, and Printers, thus strengthening the experiences of the HP ecosystem.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan a new software product for HP Poly products (rooms and headsets) and HP PCs that will make the workplace more seamless and the hybrid communication more magical  
  • Lead the development of product strategy, requirements and financial targets, balancing long-term platform investments with rapid delivery of impactful user-facing features.  
  • Lead out on user research, customer conversations, and market data analysis, bringing insights in and converting them to product requirements 
  • Communicate vision and progress to product stakeholders across the company; collaborate with business unit management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to drive continuous improvement and manage program costs. 
  • Work with engineering program managers, product design, operations, to refine product requirements, and identify and resolve the risks associated with early builds. 
  • Monitor competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements. 
  • Track and report key metrics to drive future product developments. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product launch plans, and marketing collateral. 
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the manufacturing engineering organization. 
  • Lead and provide guidance and mentoring to junior staff members  

Education And Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of work experience in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field. 
  • MBA or equivalent experience; 
  • Deep expertise in collaboration systems, and familiarity with Rooms systems, headsets and other similar hardware  
  • Ability to navigate shifting priorities by balancing long-term platform investments with rapid delivery of impactful user-facing features.  
  • Experience delivering software solutions with closely tied dependencies to embedded hardware and sensor solutions.  
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and presentation skills.   
  • A growth mindset. Must fearlessly acknowledge successes and setbacks, accept feedback, and quickly progress the team to the next step. 
  • Passion for learning and trying new hardware and software technologies and their associated workings, advantages, shortcomings, and application in customer use cases and experiences.  
  • Experience delivering software solutions with closely tied dependencies to embedded hardware and sensor solutions.  
  • Ability to work independently, effectively management time and priorities, maintain a “problem-solving” attitude, and resourcefully bring forward ideas and recommendations.  

Salary range: $149,000 - $210,000

Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)

The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.
