Overview:
The DevOps / Technical Lead will oversee technical architecture, CI/CD automation, API integration, and infrastructure operations across AWS and MuleSoft environments. This individual ensures high availability, scalability, and secure deployments.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead DevOps pipelines, version control, and automated testing/integration.
- Architect and maintain infrastructure in AWS and CMS VDCs.
- Manage MuleSoft runtime, Anypoint platform, and Kafka integration.
- Oversee Splunk and New Relic monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.
- Ensure CI/CD and release management follow CMS lifecycle standards.
- Guide developers on API standards (REST, JSON, OpenAPI Spec).
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation best practices.
Required Experience:
- 8+ years in DevOps or technical leadership roles.
- Hands-on expertise with MuleSoft Anypoint, AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS).
- Experience with Kafka, GitLab/GitHub CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with CMS TRA, ARS 5.1, and federal security controls.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer (required).
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect or Developer (preferred).
- Kubernetes (CKA) or Terraform Associate (optional plus).
Location: Work will be primarily onsite in Washington, DC, or other designated sites. Remote work requires prior client approval. Local and occasional out-of-area travel may be required.
