Team is looking for a strong Staff Software Engineer who will drive building next generation Walmart suite of products and platform by designing, coding, building and deploying highly scalable and robust cloud based solutions. The role is expected to make a difference to the products in terms of the design and contribute towards identifying technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems. In addition to that, the role also demands to lead, motivate, mentor and provide ample guidance to the other team members with respect to technical challenges.

As a part of Enterprise Business Services Bangalore team in India that works on building solutions various business functions for multiple Walmart markets, your design and solution will have a significant impact on day-to-day running of Walmart. You will be challenged with unparalleled complex business problems that spans across multiple countries, large number of users and data.

What you will do

• You will work with the multiple teams and guide them on technical aspects, set quality standards and participate in design discussion and drive technical decisions
• Architecture ; Design Reviews across teams
• Code Reviews across teams
• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
• Drive design, development, implementation and documentation
• Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• You will use your engineering experience and technical skill to develop highly scalable and robust solutions. You will work with Engineering Lead/architect.
• Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost ; Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.
• Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products
• Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.
• You will help and participate with the teams that leverage and contribute to open source technologies to Make impact on a global scale
• Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.

What You'Ll Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise web application development, with a strong focus on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and related technologies, including OSGi, Apache Sling, and JCR
• Deep understanding of AEM architecture including components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and Dispatcher configurations
• Proven experience leading end-to-end AEM implementations and migrations in large-scale environments
• Proficiency in building custom AEM components
• Experience integrating AEM with RESTful APIs, headless CMS setups, and backend systems like CRM and DAM
• Familiarity with cloud-based AEM deployments
• Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing for AEM projects
• Frontend development skills using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Angular
• Expertise in web performance optimization, SEO, and secure coding practices
• Ability to design and review scalable, maintainable, and performant solutions
• Experience in mentoring and guiding engineering teams, with strong collaboration skills across functions
• Open to learning new skills as per project needs
