The Position
The Opportunity:
As an Oncology Portfolio Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping our oncology business strategy at Roche Philippines Diagnostics Division. This role is crucial for managing relationships with Healthcare Organizations(HCOs) and Key Opinion Leaders(KOLs) within the oncology community and society. You will perform as a key point of contact for clinicians and internal teams, driving the adoption of Oncology-related high-medical-value products. Your primary goal is to deliver exceptional customer experience and drive commercial success for our oncology portfolios. This is a clinician-facing marketing role focused on establishing strategies for each portfolio and maintaining a strong clinical value proposition across Customer Areas (FMI, Core Lab, Pathology Lab and Molecular Lab).
As the Oncology Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for:
1. Contribution to the establishment of FMI CX (Customer Experience)
Your role is to ensure a seamless and superior experience for customers using our Foundation Medicine(FMI) services. You will act as a single point of contact, managing the entire end-to-end process from test ordering to report delivery.
- Clinical Customer Partnership: Serve as the primary contact for customers, understanding needs and creating personalized, value-added services that exceed their expectations.
- End-to-End Management: Oversee the complete customer journey for FMI services, including contract, test ordering, sample logistics, analysis, report generation, and post-report follow-up.
- Customer Communication: Maintain frequent contact with customers to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure their needs are met.
- Digital Solutions: Create awareness of the navify Mutation Profiler that enables customers to provide best-in-class clinical reporting & interpretation experiences for Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP).
- Internal Collaboration: Coordinate and manage a centralized platform for seamless information sharing with MSA, Commercial teams (Sales & CA Marketing), Finance, and Supply Chain to facilitate accurate forecasting and ensure kit availability. Collaborate with the APAC CX hub to address customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Strongly collaborate with Roche Pharmaceuticals, e.g., as a member of a joint One Roche CGP team, supporting new launches, and another joint initiative on patient identification & testing in oncology.
2. Companion Diagnostics expansion
You will be responsible for driving the commercial success of our companion diagnostics portfolio by establishing high-value solutions in the market and building strong relationships within the clinician community. (i.e. Breast Cancer / Lung Cancer / Gastric Cancer / Ovarian Cancer)
- Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement the commercial strategy for companion diagnostics, ensuring successful execution to achieve business objectives. This includes identifying market gaps and investment opportunities along the patient journey.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with Oncologists, pathologists, and other Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to increase awareness and understanding of companion diagnostic products. You will engage congress and medical society committee members to deliver key messages and secure their advocacy and regularly present at seminars and symposiums to highlight the clinical value of our products.
- Pharma partnership management: Build and nurture relationships with Pharma partners and monitor the customer account status with Pharma stakeholders.
- Collaboration with CA Portfolio Manager: Develop and maintain a suite of clinical value marketing tools, including brochures, presentation materials, and scientific articles. You will also monitor competitor sales tools and market trends to ensure our messaging remains impactful.
3. Clinical-Value Oncology Portfolio management
This role requires you to be a clinical expert who can articulate the medical value of our oncology product portfolio to a wide range of stakeholders. You will drive business growth by increasing awareness and building a robust hospital network. (i.e. Hepatocellular Carcinoma, HCC)
- Business Planning: Contribute to the development of the business plan, defining market potential and opportunities. You will analyze sales and market trends to develop and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Product Expertise: You will be responsible for defining product positioning and ensuring appropriate use of biomarkers.
- Market and Sales Monitoring: Continuously monitor sales performance and work closely with the sales team to follow up on leads and market demands. You will coordinate with sales and commercial excellence teams to roll out effective marketing campaigns.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and clinicians in hospitals. You will actively participate in customer events, provide scientific information, and solve complex cases related to our products.
- Training and Education: Provide training and education to both internal teams(Sales) and external partners(Clinician) on new and existing products.
- Digital Solutions: Create awareness of navify Algorithm Suite and associated algorithms that enables customers to achieve clinical insights and support clinical decision-making.
4. Marketing Initiatives/ Campaign Management/ Marketing Activities
- Planning, preparation and execution of marketing initiatives and marketing campaigns with various channels
- Executes proper end to end campaign management with monitoring and evaluation of effectivity of campaigns
- Aligns execution with all the channels including sales and distributors in an effective way
- Implements new ways of marketing using various channels in an integrated approach
- Together with commercial excellence function monitors the effectivity of campaigns and various marketing approaches and aligns accordingly future activities
- Collaborates with sales and commercial excellence functions for an input
- Production of brochures, flyers and marketing collaterals
- Customer education (Seminars, Symposiums, Congresses and trade exhibits)
- Marketing programs (e.g. Access programs with Access & CVM)
- Contract and proposal management
- 5. Manage marketing budget in accordance with the financial plans
- 6. Adhere to all relevant Roche internal and external guidelines and policies
Liaises With
- External customer(HCOs, Key Opinion Leaders, clinicians) and other relevant parties
- Pharmaceutical companies for CDx collaboration projects
- Global, APAC or GCS team for product, technical support, updates and enquiries
- Relevant internal team members, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Service, Applications, and other departments/areas as required
Who You Are:
- Pharmaceuticals and/or Diagnostic career background is preferred, and/or sales experience in Pharma/Diagnostic or related industry, and an understanding of the clinicians and key external influencers
- Clinician-Facing Experience in managing commercial and marketing initiatives
- Pharmacy/Medical degree is an added advantage
