The Position

As a Country Study Start-Up Team Leader at Roche, you will lead and facilitate efficient and compliant study start-up processes, ensuring clinical trials are delivered to patients on time and with quality. You will collaborate with local and global teams, CROs, and regulatory authorities, driving innovation, operational excellence, and value delivery for patients, investigators, and partners.

The Opportunity

• Lead the country study start-up strategy, ensuring efficiency, innovation, and strong stakeholder collaboration.
• Oversee study start-up operations, ensuring timely site activation and regulatory compliance.
• Manage submissions and amendments throughout the study lifecycle.
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation, submission, and archiving of Informed Consent Forms (ICFs).
• Plan and negotiate budgets, contracts, and legal agreements, ensuring financial and regulatory alignment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local clinical trial regulations.
• Collaborate with regional/global counterparts and engage in external forums to strengthen the study start-up environment.
• Degree in life sciences (MD, PhD, MSc, or equivalent); postgraduate degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in study start-up, regulatory submissions, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, EU CTR, and local regulatory environments.
• Proven leadership and experience managing teams and CRO/vendor relationships.
• Fluency in English and the local country language, both written and spoken.
