Job Description

We are looking for a security professional. Our setting demands that the right candidate will be experienced in first aid, loss prevention, fire safety, and guest service. As a senior leader in the department the successful candidate will need to be a strong communicator and motivator to assist the Director in the development and direction of a team of Security Services Agents. The Assistant plays an active and important role as a member of the hotel leadership team. Be part of our Fairmont family. 
 

Job Duties Include:

  • The development, implementation and adherence to departmental standards
  • Training and delivery of security programs
  • Respond to emergencies including fire and medicals
  • Direct supervision of shift employees
  • Attend department head meeting in Director’s absence
  • Assist with completion of Colleague evaluations
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting and long range planning

Qualifications

  • 2 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous fire training or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of Standard First Aid and CPR Level C required. Preference given to those candidates who have, or agree to obtain Advanced First Aid or equivalent
  • Must possess or obtain a current drivers abstract and valid Alberta class 5 driver’s license
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs preferred
  • Diploma in Law and Security, Police Foundations, or equivalent preferred
