Job Description
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Program Manager to lead the AI Foundation team at Copperleaf. This team is responsible for building the underlying framework that will power much of the customer-facing AI capabilities in our product over the coming years. The work is both technical and experiential: designing the infrastructure, interaction models, and user interfaces that will shape how our customers engage with co-pilots, agents, and other AI-driven features within the Copperleaf Suite.
The AI Foundation team will also lead the development of several customer-facing AI capabilities, including re-imagining Guided Investment Management from the ground up with AI at its core. This is foundational work: what you and the team create will set the stage for a new era of our product.
As a Program Manager, you will act as the bridge between Design, Development, QA, and our clients—helping the team focus on the highest-value problems and ensuring they are solved in ways that are elegant, practical, and forward-looking.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the AI Foundation program, ensuring alignment with Copperleaf’s product strategy and the growing role of AI in our solution.
- Lead the delivery of core AI infrastructure as well as user-facing features– including design patterns, interaction models, and user interfaces– to underpin co-pilots, agents, and other AI-driven features.
- Ensure strong alignment and clear communication across Engineering, Product, Design, and Business stakeholders to keep initiatives coordinated and on track.
- Partner with architects, designers, developers, QA, and operations to integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into the product and bring them to market successfully.
- Use AI tools to streamline workflows, improve communication, and support efficient, predictable delivery.
- Act as a point of contact for various product areas (GIM, Capture, etc.) to provide support, guidance and troubleshooting and triage bugs and backports.
Building Knowledge
- Develop deep expertise in the frameworks and infrastructure that support AI in the Copperleaf platform, including cloud technologies and Azure AI Foundry.
- Stay fluent in AI tools and emerging capabilities, applying them to improve program outcomes and delivery practices.
- Lead with a customer-first mindset, ensuring client feedback informs the design of co-pilots, agents, and AI-powered features.
- Actively engage with stakeholders to gather input and prioritize enhancements that balance technical needs with business goals.
Applying Skills
- Demonstrate strong business and technical acumen, aligning cross-functional teams around shared AI goals.
- Communicate complex AI strategies and frameworks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Use AI-powered tools to improve problem solving, increase visibility, and support faster decision-making.
- Stay adaptable and decisive, keeping momentum in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
- Foster trust, collaboration, and clarity across distributed teams.
Influencing Behavior
- Use deep familiarity with the Copperleaf Suite and industry knowledge to connect program direction to real-world customer challenges.
- Support continuous improvement and a shared vision for the future through thoughtful stakeholder engagement and communication.
- Promote your area of expertise through presentations, documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Embracing Ai-Native Talent
At Copperleaf, we believe that fluency with generative AI tools and technologies can be a powerful accelerator for innovation and impact. We’re particularly excited to work with individuals who:
- Frequently explore and apply AI solutions to improve efficiency, automate tasks, and enhance decision-making.
- Stay curious and informed about the latest trends in AI, including how generative tools are reshaping work.
- Have real-world examples of how AI has helped streamline workflows, uncover insights, or create new value in their past roles.
- Approach challenges with a mindset that blends technical know-how with AI-enabled creativity.
If you’re someone who naturally turns to AI as part of your problem-solving toolkit, we’d love to see how you’ve used it to make an impact.
Qualifications
You Have the Following Background
- 8+ years of proven experience leading complex projects or initiatives, with clear accountability for outcomes.
- Trusted by peers and stakeholders as someone who is reliable, organized, and able to see projects through to completion.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across functions and with customers.
- Deep familiarity with the Copperleaf Suite and how our clients in electricity, oil & gas, mining, and other asset-intensive industries use it to solve real-world problems.
- AI-native: familiarity with the technologies that underpin large language models and modern AI, along with a clear understanding of industry trends and where the technology is heading.
- Ability to balance competing priorities, align stakeholders, and keep momentum in dynamic environments.
- Comfortable engaging directly with customers and representing their needs in product-facing discussions.
- Program management experience is not required, but a strong track record of project leadership and accountability is essential. Experience with agile software delivery is an asset.
