SEA is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic PR to join our Corporate Communications team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This role offers a unique opportunity to help drive Samsung’s corporate brand communications strategies and shape public narratives at the intersection of technology, innovation and community impact. The ideal candidate will be a strategic communicator with strong media savvy, sound instinct for connecting dots to uncover stories that resonate with external audiences, and have experience navigating matrixed, multi-national organizations to generate positive, high-profile earned media coverage for the brand. Proven ability to identify and drive competitive thought leadership narratives is required.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic PR, this role will lead initiatives that strengthen Samsung’s reputation among key top tier news, business, tech and trade media, as well as the wider national news media landscape as appropriate. This role requires the ability to engage with global stakeholders and leaders across multiple business groups on PR initiatives. This position will also include media relations responsibilities, particularly with top tier news media
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive earned media strategy and relations, demonstrating a proven ability to frame and place stories that support key business priorities and reach a multitude of target audiences
- Craft sound strategic approaches, adhere to tight timelines and demonstrate a deep understanding of media relations and competitive landscapes.
- Drive a regular cadence of thought leadership for Samsung Electronics America, and maintain a steady, year-long editorial calendar
- Support external executive communications, inclusive of media interviews, speaking opportunities, and owned content
- Engage and maintain relationships with top-tier media contacts
- Analyze the ever-changing media landscape and gather actionable insights
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years of PR experience, either in house or at an agency
- Corporate Communications experience preferred; Supporting B2B and B2C technology companies a plus
- Experience working directly with journalists, editors, and members of the media
- Experience writing PR materials (e.g. press releases, pitch decks, story development)
- Experience managing PR agencies and technology vendors
- High level business and technology media relations strategy and execution experience
- Strategic thinker who understands the business & communications challenges and can develop smart, data-driven strategies
- Creative thinker to bring fresh perspective and develop ideas that challenge status quo
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, organization and presentation skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent influencing skills at all levels of the organization and extreme flexibility to be proactive & solutions-oriented in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Collaborative nature and desire to engage thoughtfully with a world-class PR organization across teams, regions, and globally
- Thinks and speaks in numbers when it comes to articulating success and lessons learned
- Experience optimizing technology to continually improve the effectiveness of the media measurement tools
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- MBA or graduate degree a plus

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $157,500 and $194,500. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
