About The Location:
Steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our Hotel will offer luxury accommodation for the city’s 1.5 million annual visitors. The new-build hotel will be located at the heart of Madinah and steps from one of the most historic and significant sites in the region: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque. Madinah is also home to the Quba Mosque, which is regarded as the oldest mosque in the world.About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of People & Culture to lead the People & Culture function at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. Reporting to the General Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Regional Director of People and Culture, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of all People & Culture strategies, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, employee housing, and organizational culture. Your role will be vital in shaping the hotel’s workforce, enhancing guest satisfaction through employee satisfaction, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
What You Will Do
- Lead the P&C team, ensuring the execution of P&C strategies that support the hotel's business objectives and growth.
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent for all hotel departments.
- Oversee the onboarding and training programs, ensuring new hires are integrated into the hotel culture and receive the development they need to succeed.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, ensuring that all staff are motivated, valued, and aligned with Four Seasons' values.
- Implement performance management systems, including appraisals, feedback mechanisms, and career development plans for employees.
- Monitor and manage employee relations, addressing concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a professional and timely manner.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with local labor laws and Four Seasons standards, ensuring compliance in all P&C practices.
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Oversee the Employee Housing department, ensuring it is aligned with the Four Seasons standards and local regulations. Provide guidance on policies, planning, and long-term improvements to optimize housing operations and employee satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of inclusion and diversity, promoting a respectful and collaborative environment for all employees.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the hotel’s strategic goals are supported by effective people strategies.
- Lead P&C metrics and reporting efforts, providing regular updates on employee performance, turnover, and other key P&C data.
- Manage P&C budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and resource allocation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is preferred
- Proven experience as a People & Culture or HR Director, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, employee relations, and talent management.
- Ability to drive organizational change, improve employee engagement, and enhance company culture.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex P&C issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and department heads.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
