The Senior Coordinator, Inclusive Learning and Teaching will lead the strategic planning, development, and implementation of initiatives that embed inclusive learning and teaching practices across RMIT. A key focus will be advancing the adoption of the Universal Design for Learning framework to foster an inclusive educational environment for diverse learners.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the Education Portfolio, Student Equity, and other learning and teaching areas to design, support and evaluate initiatives that deliver positive, inclusive outcomes for students. This role provides consultancy and training to staff, contributes to inclusive policy development, and drives continuous improvement through data and evaluation
About You
RMIT is looking for a proactive and collaborative leader, passionate about inclusive education and committed to enhancing the learning experience for all students. With strong expertise in inclusive learning and teaching, you bring experience embedding frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning across curricula, policies, and practices.
You’Ll Have:
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives that advance inclusive education.
- Proven experience designing and delivering professional development programs on inclusive learning and teaching.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards, policy development, and compliance.
- A track record of effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and advocacy for inclusive practices.
- Data-driven evaluation and reporting skills to support continuous improvement.
- Experience in securing and managing funding and resources to deliver impactful initiatives.

About The Portfolio
The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University’s strategies related to RMIT’s academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.
