Who We Are

Maersk Energy Markets (MEM) is looking for a Student Analyst to help accelerate the growth and optimization of Maersk’s rapidly expanding renewable fuels portfolio.

MEM is part of the Energy Transition Division in Maersk made up of 150+ dedicated colleagues working on realizing Maersk’s ambitious 2040 net zero strategy. With offices in New York, Singapore, Rotterdam, Geneva and Copenhagen, MEM is responsible for delivering cost-competitive energy to the group, including but not limited to marine fuel, aviation fuel, and sourcing of carbon credits.

MEM creates value through asset optimization and acts as a best-in-class fuel supplier to more than 200 ports globally and approx. 750 vessels. We source more than 10 million metric tonnes of fuel annually to Ocean from external suppliers and via our own supply chain. 

Through our commitment to become net-zero in 2040, our fuel mix will increasingly be based on low carbon fuels. This position will be part of driving the transition journey.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll be an integral part of our Renewable Fuel Trading team, helping to:

  •  Support the Renewable Fuel Trading team with data and analysis
  • Develop and standardize market reports for renewable fuels
  • Build and maintain price forecasting tools to support commercial planning
  • Improve processes through data reconciliation and decision-support tools
  • Analyze market trends and sustainability regulations to recommend supply strategies
  • What We’re Looking For
  • We’re looking for someone curious, analytical, and eager to learn.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least one year left in your education
  • Passionate about analytics and data modelling
  • Comfortable working with Excel and building tools or models
  • Able to communicate insights clearly using PowerPoint
  • Thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy solving complex challenges
