Business Banking (BB) offers a wide range of services and solutions to our small to medium, enterprise customers and our regional and agribusiness customers. We also take care of our personal and institutional online trading customers.

The Everyday Business Banking (EBB) team supports the full spectrum of customers’ needs from the smallest businesses to the largest corporates. We have accountability for Deposit and Transaction Product, and Portfolio Management, Commercial Cards, Payment Acceptance Solutions, Business Customer Onboarding, Customer lifecycle Management, and Business Customer Propositions.
 

Do work that matters

Lead the Product Management Chapter Area in collaboration with the EBB Domain Crews / COEs to define the Product Management capability roadmap, talent strategy, and people engagement plan.

You will work with the Chapter Area Lead in Payments Acceptance to lead the Chapter for all of EBB. Partner with the Group Product Practice to align global best Product Management standards and career pathways. Have a strong leadership presence and influence across the EBB Leadership Team and Domain Crews, whilst reporting into one of the EBB Crews, Cards & Scams Protection.

As an experienced Product Leader, you will lead a high performing team of 80+ Product Managers including ~15 direct reports.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Partner with EBB Crews / COEs to determine the capability and skillset required to deliver on our customer and strategic outcomes
  • Obsess over Product Management talent including recruitment, talent mobility, succession planning, and career pathways
  • Lead the Product Management Performance framework including talent calibration, remuneration standards, performance management, and KPI setting
  • Uplift Chapter maturity by fostering a culture of sharing, learning, and problem solving
  • Implement, evolve and support consistent ways of working across the Chapter Area and Domain that align to industry standards
  • Unlock people potential through strong people engagement, mentoring and coaching
  • Support the Cards & Scams Protection Crew with priority initiatives as required.

We are interested in candidates who have

  • 10+ years of Product and People Leadership experience within Financial Services, preferably in Business Banking.
  • Strong commercial and technical experience across Product Management
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in influencing and working across multiple LTs and Senior Leaders.  
  • Experience in leading performance frameworks including talent management and remuneration benchmarking
  • Ability to build deep connections across multiple stakeholders at all levels
  • Appropriate university qualification; degree or masters
