As a Senior Manager in the Credit Risk, Credit Card Acquisition Strategy team, within the Consumer Underwriting business, you will lead the development and delivery of credit risk acquisition and portfolio management strategies. You will balance growth, profitability, and risk while providing strategic direction across credit decisioning, data analytics, and acquisition strategy. You will also play a dual role as a Chapter Lead within the Retail Advanced Analytics & Data (RAAD) Chapter Area, which involves leading a Chapter of credit risk professionals and developing their technical capability whilst remaining hands-on in your team’s delivery.

On A Day-To-Day Basis, You’Ll:

  • Lead the development and execution of credit risk acquisition and portfolio management strategies for Credit Cards.
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership across credit decisioning, data analytics, and acquisition modelling.
  • Coach and develop a team of credit risk professionals, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Influence cross-functional squads and senior stakeholders across product, technology, modelling, and compliance.
  • Champion the use of advanced analytics and decisioning systems to deliver scalable, customer-centric solutions.
  • Drive transformation initiatives including system upgrades and policy enhancements within an agile framework.

  • Have proven leadership experience in credit risk strategy, ideally in unsecured lending and originations.
  • Possess a deep understanding of acquisition modelling, credit decisioning systems, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Extensive experience communicating system changes and providing requirements to technology stakeholders to deliver solutions efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Have strong analytical and technical skills, with proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead complex initiatives end-to-end, from strategy design through approval and implementation.
  • Have exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience influencing at senior levels.
  • Thrive in agile environments and have a track record of coaching and developing talent.
