  • Location: ROCKWOOL Headquarters, Hedehusene, Denmark
  • Department: Group SHE – 18 colleagues strong

Are you ready to help shape a thriving safety culture, protect the environment, and ensure a healthy workplace for everyone at ROCKWOOL Headquarters? We are seeking a passionate and proactive Safety, Health, and Environment Officer to join our committed SHE team.

At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions. In a fast‑paced and ever‑changing world, we believe it’s our responsibility to act sustainably — for ourselves, our communities, and future generations.

Your Future Team

You’ll join a dedicated, collaborative, and experienced SHE team that works closely together to achieve the highest standards in safety, health, and environmental responsibility. Our purpose is simple yet vital: optimise our workplace environment and protect the wellbeing of our people. You will report directly to the Section Manager for the Safety and Health team in Group SHE.

Your Role

As the SHE Officer at our headquarters, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating SHE activities across all buildings, facilities, and employees in Hedehusene.

You Will:

  • Manage internal audits, ensuring full compliance with regulations and ROCKWOOL Mandatory Minimum Requirements (MMR).
  • Serve as the main contact for authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Support the Working Environment Committee (WEC) as a key stakeholder.
  • Work closely with local health and safety managers and employee representatives.
  • Oversee our Emergency Preparedness Plan, including inspections, equipment management, and safety boards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct health, safety, and fire inspections at headquarters.
  • Onboard external contractors to ensure compliance with ROCKWOOL project safety standards.
  • Identify and report risks and hazards, ensuring corrective actions are implemented by managers.
  • Support environmental compliance and liaise with authorities when required.
  • Provide risk assessments and practical advice to managers on improving safety and health.
  • Organise introductory safety and health training for new employees.
  • Promote safety and health awareness through communication and events, including Safety Days.
  • Define annual action plans to meet agreed HSE targets.
  • Roll‑out Group SHE initiatives locally.
  • Record, investigate, and address incidents — identifying root causes and ensuring preventive measures.
  • Report environmental data for water discharge and groundwater monitoring to authorities.
  • Support environmental remediation related to soil, groundwater, waste, water, and chemicals.
  • Ensure technical safety installations are inspected and compliant.

Your Profile

We imagine you are at the early stage of your career in Safety, Health, and Environment and bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or similar.
  • Experience with construction sites.
  • An ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
  • Fluency in English and Danish, both written and verbal.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A structured, pragmatic approach to problem‑solving and project management.
  • The ability to influence, inspire, and coach others toward safety excellence.
  • Confidence in presenting to any audience.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement and meticulous planning.

We recognise you may not meet every qualification listed — you might have skills, knowledge, or experience we haven’t included here, and we value that.
