Heidrick Consulting serves as the firm’s leadership advisory arm. We are a team that is passionate about enabling a world better led. The Analyst role is our first step on the consulting career path. In this role Analysts learn the consulting cycle working as part of a talented team leveraging empirical data from diagnostic tools and providing insights through rigorous analysis. Your contributions will expose you to leaders across a variety of industries and geographies. This role provides the opportunity to develop within one of the fastest growing leadership and organization consultancies specializing in accelerating the performance of leaders, teams and organizations.

Heidrick Consulting’s Analyst Immersion Program is a launchpad for a career in leadership consulting. As a new Analyst, you’ll participate in an immersive cohort-based learning experience that provides training in our core offerings, tools, and philosophies. Before joining client engagement teams, you’ll build essential skills to research, analyze, and present complex data in a clear and impactful way.

Analysts contribute across our diverse offerings, including organizational transformation, team performance acceleration, leadership assessment and development, inclusive leadership, and culture shaping. We are seeking candidates with strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and a passion for client service.

Role Responsibilities

Client Impact & Engagement:

  • Conducts research, organizes and analyses client data and presents results in a simplified format
  • Organizes and interprets data themes (using qualitative, basic quantitative analytical techniques), driving real insights to support decision making
  • Gathers and analyses client data, drawing on a range of problem-solving skills to identify themes and insights
  • Prepares client output that conveys results in a compelling way
  • Structures interview guides / data collection / surveys with limited guidance
  • Prepare for engaging with clients in meetings and/or second chairing assessments with clients
  • Takes responsibility and ownership over assigned work, proactively managing to completion
  • Ensures work is “client ready” (e.g. error free, aligned with expectations, ready to be shared with client) and actively manages expectations with team during any draft-revision processes
  • Plans and prioritizes own work, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Achieves target utilization of 70%

People:

  • Supports team in producing high quality deliverables
  • Works collaboratively with all colleagues across the wider organization (HC and H&S)
  • Develops and maintains professional presence and behaviour
  • Interacts with the client team, is aware of own impact
  • Builds personal reputation as a trusted and respected team player (via work quality and behaviour)

Firm Building:

  • As required, supports the design and roll out of new products/tools
  • Contributes to business development and prepares to execute won initiatives

  • Demonstrated personal growth and development

Knowledge:

  • Builds and shares reusable, client ready materials, insights (including case studies) and project learnings
  • Contributes to internal or external knowledge development or sharing
  • Has a deep knowledge of one or more HC solutions
  • Proactively develops own learning/ has a learning mindset and contributes across a broad range of client projects
  • Organize and maintain libraries of knowledge collateral, ensuring easy access for users
  • Coordinate the capture of client data and ensure compliance with data regulations.
  • Project management and delivery

Basic Role Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years of work experience with 1 year in a management or leadership consulting environment with regular exposure and engagement with clients
  • An undergraduate degree is required.

Preferred Role Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field strongly preferred.
  • Interest in leadership, people, commercial dynamics, organizations and behavior; leads with curiosity – about others, our business, our clients’ businesses
  • Highly numerate and structured in thinking possessing a problem solving, solution-oriented mindset
  • Thinking agility: thinks ahead, analyses and solves problems, is innovative and handles ambiguity well
  • Commercial awareness / business acumen
  • Domain expertise (organisation/team/leadership assessment & development, succession/board advisory, Culture Shaping, D&I
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word and advanced Excel
  • Excellent writing skills; can prepare concise and compelling reports
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Fluent English speaking; other language skills a plus
  • Willingness to travel locally and globally as required

Pay Range Guidelines for this Position:

The salary range for this position is 70000 USD to 80000 USD. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience and skills. In addition to your salary, Heidrick & Struggles offers discretionary bonuses (subject to eligibility requirements) and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, disability leave, parental leave, paid time off and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Note: we have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
