When you join our company, we want you to feel valued, supported and proud to work here. That’s why we offer The GEICO Pledge: Great Company, Great Culture, Great Rewards and Great Careers.

GEICO’s summer internship will run from approximately June 8, 2026, through August 14, 2026.

Are you looking for an internship that offers hands-on business experience, impactful work, and exposure to organizational leaders? Our Claims Rotational Internship is a full-time, paid summer program designed to develop future business leaders by rotating interns through various areas of the Claims department: Insurance Claims Services, Casualty, First Party Medical, Physical Damage and/or Commercial, depending on location. You will gain insight into the operations of our Claims department, including how all areas work together, with the opportunity to immerse yourself within one Claims area during the second half of the internship.

You’ll work on meaningful projects that address real business priorities, contribute as a valued team member, and gain an insider’s view of the insurance industry. In addition to your departmental experience, you’ll participate in professional development labs, career panels, networking events, and team challenges that strengthen your skills and build your confidence.

This program is ideal for students with clear interest in future leadership roles, who want to gain in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, while contributing to high-visibility work. You’ll be paired with a mentor, collaborate with a team of fellow interns, and present your key takeaways in a capstone project to company leaders.

By the end of the program, you’ll leave with tangible skills, new professional connections, and a strong understanding of what it takes to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-billion-dollar organization. Interns may also be considered for full-time leadership program opportunities after graduation—more than half of our interns accept job offers post-program.

What You’Ll Do:

  • Gain knowledge about the insurance industry and gain key knowledge about our claims department
  • Learn from all levels of operations leadership through department roundtables, dedicated career journey overviews, workshops, and more
  • Get assigned to an area of claims and participate in a 3-week deep dive focused on project-based work and real-time business needs
  • Collaborate with peers and professionals on cross-functional challenges and group deliverables
  • Attend leadership development sessions on communication, problem-solving, and business acumen
  • Engage with mentors and shadow team members to better understand department roles and functions
  • Prepare and deliver a capstone presentation summarizing your experience, insights, and impact

What We’Re Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Economics, Marketing, Management or other relevant major, with expected graduation between December 2026 and May 2027
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • High level of dependability, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, extracurricular, or work experience
