Role Summary
The Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) is a key leadership role, reporting directly to the General Manager and forming a critical part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This role is responsible for driving the financial performance and commercial success of the business through strategic insight, effective planning, and robust financial management.
As the leader of the finance function, you will guide the business through short-term performance management and long-term strategic planning (3-year financial horizon), while managing all financial reporting, governance, budgeting, forecasting, and CAPEX processes. You will also act as a strategic business partner across all functions—Sales, Operations, Marketing, and People & Culture—and play a vital role in supporting business growth, operational efficiency, and value creation.
The CFM also acts as the key liaison between the business unit and Kinrise’s central finance team, ensuring alignment on governance, reporting, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Business Partnering
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and commercial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives across all business functions through data-driven insights and KPIs.
- Lead the development and submission of detailed forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
- Partner with Sales and Operations teams to support and challenge forecasts and the S&OP process.
- Deliver weekly and monthly financial reporting and actionable insights.
2. Financial Planning, Reporting & Governance
- Lead the quarterly forecast review and present results to Kin and Kinrise stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financials including P&L, EBITDA, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Oversee financial controls, compliance, and risk management.
- Coordinate with Shared Services for accurate transactional support and reporting.
- Ensure audit readiness and adherence to all Kinrise financial policies and delegations.
3. Operations Finance
- Provide financial leadership across supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, and warehousing.
- Drive CAPEX planning and governance, ensuring clear business cases and effective project execution.
- Support the costing process and product lifecycle management via SAP and master data governance.
- Oversee supplier contract management and procurement strategies.
4. Leadership & Strategy
- Act as co-pilot to the GM and key contributor to business strategy and investment planning.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team aligned with company values and performance culture.
- Participate in SLT meetings, daily operations reviews (PULSE), and performance improvement forums.
- Present investment papers and financial recommendations to the executive leadership team.
5. Transformation & Projects
- Lead the finance function’s digital transformation—shifting from traditional reporting to analytical tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Oversee strategic projects and support corporate initiatives such as acquisitions, divestitures, or joint ventures.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to deliver systems improvements and business efficiency gains.
About You
- Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of P&L performance drivers
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- High level of integrity and ability to manage ambiguity and risk
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on accountability, results, and team development
- Background in FMCG or manufacturing industries
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification
