About This Role

As a member of our firmware team you will be a co-creator of leading edge fire safety solutions Kidde (www.kidde.com). You will play a significant role in improvement of smoke, fire or CO detectors for home market. Developing extremely low power robust wireless signaling protocols or improving detection algorithms. Being a part of the big international team, you will create a big impact on human safety all over the world. Work with us allows to participate in every aspect of product creation: systems analysis, architecture decisions, coding and documenting the system, cooperation with laboratory, production lines, and client support.

As the Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Development of FW code and architecture
• Prototyping and proofing of concepts
• Co-operation with hardware, analytics and test engineers

• Code Reviews

• Code Audits

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in embedded C

• Unit Tests

• Logic Analyzers/Oscilloscopes

• Git

• Cortex-M0+ based systems (STM, TI, Holtek, etc), baremetal and lightweight RTOS’es (FreeRTOS, Segger embOS, etc)
• Various debuggers and programmers
• Ability to read schematics
• Battery life/Low power optimization
• Good knowledge of written and verbal English
• Radio communication background (sub 1mhz, BLE, Zigbee, etc)
• Cryptography basics, ARM secure key storage
