Healthcare Recruiter

Baystate Health, the largest healthcare organization in western Massachusetts and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), the areas only level 1 trauma center in Western Mass, is looking for a Healthcare Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team in Springfield, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health Healthcare Recruiters support full-cycle recruitment for a diverse range of positions across our growing health system. From clinical and professional to technical, managerial, and administrative roles, you’ll partner with leaders to ensure we hire exceptional talent that aligns with our mission of advancing care and enhancing lives.

As a key member of our Talent Acquisition team, you'll play a critical role in sourcing, engaging, and hiring top talent, all while delivering an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience. Other responsibilities include:

Full-Cycle Recruitment

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for both exempt and non-exempt roles across administrative, clinical, technical, and leadership functions
• Partner closely with hiring managers to assess needs and develop strategic hiring plans
• Lead behavioral-based interviews, negotiate offers, and facilitate onboarding handoff

Strategic Sourcing

• Develop tailored sourcing strategies for high-volume and hard-to-fill positions
• Build and nurture candidate pipelines using creative, proactive sourcing techniques
• Leverage Workday ATS data, referrals, job boards, and social platforms to identify top talent

Candidate Experience & Assessment

• Review resumes and applications with efficiency and attention to detail
• Conduct compliant and competency-based interviews across various formats (phone, video, in-person)
• Present qualified candidates with clarity, context, and enthusiasm

Offer Management & Negotiation

• Collaborate with compensation and hiring leaders to develop equitable offers
• Manage negotiations and communicate offers with transparency and professionalism
• Ensure a seamless transition from offer to onboarding

Administrative Excellence

• Utilize Workday to advance candidates, document activity, and ensure compliance
• Monitor time-to-fill and support reporting on key hiring metrics

Collaboration & Partnership

• Build trusted relationships with hiring leaders, HR Business Partners, and Workforce Planning
• Provide recruitment insights and market data to guide workforce decisions
• Lead or support recruitment-related initiatives and process improvements

Qualifications:

• 5 years of Healthcare recruitment experience in lieu of degree, required
• Bachelors degree, preferred
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Technical understanding of Workday ATS, preferred
• Experience with sourcing hard-to-fill positions
• Ability to work in a continuously changing field that requires constant flexibility

Schedule:

·         Full-Time

• Monday through Friday – flexible schedule
• Some evening/weekend hours required for events

Our Compensation Philosophy

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other recognition programs for our employees. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
