About The Mission
At Columbia Sportswear Company, our eCommerce channel is the digital flagship for Columbia.com and Sorel.com in Europe. In a context of strong growth, we are hiring a new Director eCommerce to lead this channel and maximize its impact.
You will manage a team of 14 specialists across Marketing, Content Production, and Buying, through three direct reports. Reporting to the General Manager Europe and sitting on the European Management Team (EMT), you will play a strategic role in shaping the regional roadmap while fostering synergies with Retail, Wholesale, and Brand Marketing.
With full P&L ownership, your mission is to deliver top-line growth, expand into new territories, and maximize profitability. To achieve this, you will:
Drive growth – Lead revenue expansion through new initiatives, improved user experience, and synergies across channels. Lead with clarity and impact – Inspire your team with clear priorities aligned to the European roadmap, balancing global directives with local opportunities. Foster innovation and collaboration – Encourage creativity, experimentation (A/B testing, new technologies, localized user experiences), and entrepreneurial thinking within the team. Manage by results – Monitor KPIs (sales, traffic, conversion rate, average order value, margin, customer satisfaction) and turn insights into performance.
How You’Ll Make The Difference
- Own the European eCommerce P&L, ensuring strong sales growth and profitability.
- Translate strategy into actionable plans, forecasts, and targets (annual, seasonal, monthly).
- Lead and develop a team of 14, fostering engagement, collaboration, and high performance.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure our sites reflect the brands’ storytelling and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Retail and Wholesale to drive synergies and deliver a seamless omnichannel consumer journey.
- Actively shape the future of our business as part of the European Management Team (EMT).
- Leverage global platforms and tools to their full potential while driving localization when needed.
You Are
- A business-driven leader, with the ability to turn ideas into initiatives that drive measurable growth.
- A people leader with a proven track record of managing managers and building engaged, high-performing teams.
- A strategic thinker who thrives in a matrix, multi-country environment and balances global alignment with local needs.
- Passionate about sports and the outdoors, with genuine enthusiasm for our products and consumers.
You Have
- Strong expertise in eCommerce within the consumer goods industry, at Director or Senior Manager level (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience in scaling and optimizing, channel growth and business development
- Proven ability to manage managers, set clear objectives, and empower teams to generate ideas and take ownership.
- Experience in a matrix organization with cross-functional and international collaboration.
- A solid understanding of KPIs, forecasting, digital marketing, UX, and eCommerce operations.
- Fluency in English and French.
