The Global Program Manager will own the end-to-end planning, governance, execution, and sustainment readiness of strategically critical NPI and innovation programs spanning multiple regions, product lines, and functional stakeholders. You will implement and continuously enhance a structured, automotive-grade program management framework (leveraging best practices from APQP / IATF 16949 / PPAP disciplines) and adapt it to the silicon materials / electronics context.
People in this role will act as the integrator across global marketing manager, regional marketing manager, Application development engineer, R&D, process engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, commercial, regulatory teams to ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-spec delivery of new products and technology platforms. A strong emphasis will be placed on financial projection integrity, risk transparency, lifecycle stage-gate discipline, and launch readiness.
Candidates with proven Program / Platform Management experience in the automotive sector (Tier 1, Tier 2, OEM-facing materials, or electronics subsystems) will be strongly prioritized.
To be successful, this role will need to work closely with peers such as the Electronics Global technology Leader, Global marketing director, Global marketing segment leader, regional market manager and Global Product Manager, to ensure that all innovation project plans and strategies are aligned. This position will report directly to the Global Business Leader of the Electronic Materials Business.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serves as a central hub for project oversight, governance, and support, ensuring that projects are executed effectively and aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure to secure project high quality launch on time.
- Act as a cross-departmental PMO leader to coordinate collaboration and communication between various teams.
- Prepare high-quality project reporting materials for internal and external clients
- Lead customer audit from project management requirements.
- Assess project risk and manage the risk with cross-functional team efforts to build up effective action plan serving customers.
- Support Marketing managers on NPI system management and facilitate NPI gate review process under VDA & APQP process within strategic accounts in Automotive and Semiconductors.
- Project stakeholder management to ensure alignment of goals, expectations and action plan.
- Continuously drive project management and NPI process improvement with clear process and standard
- Build up lessons and learn library and apply it in new projects.
- Manage project change aligned with corporate digitalization process and co-work with IT team.
- Act as KOL for TQM system management
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Relevant working experience in the automotive industry, familiar with its business processes and project characteristics.
- Strong background on project management following VDA6.3 and APQP requirements.
- Hands-on experience in managing or supporting NPI projects.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, capable of handling complex multi-party relationships.
- Self-directed and opinionated manager able to make difficult decisions quickly without having all the data.
- Problem solver who can understand the details, without micro-managing results. Must be able to identify and resolve challenging global issues effectively.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), familiar with SAP.
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
- > 5 years of project management experience in an Automotive industry or Electronic industry
- Previous work in Asia Pacific or in a global organization
- Global/regional key account manager experience
- Strategic marketing experience
