About The Role

A unique opportunity exists for a junior graphic designer to join our growing, fast paced, highly collaborative team.

The role is responsible for assisting in the execution of graphic design projects, reporting to the Graphic Design Manager and supporting the Design Team and internal stakeholders. You will create and craft engaging visual solutions across print, digital, and social media channels. You will be supported to produce high quality, fit for purpose graphic design creative across multi-projects whilst working closely within the design team adhering to brand strategy and guidelines for best practice.

Key Accountabilities

  • Review Graphic Design briefs in conjunction with Graphic Design Manager and Design Team to determine requirements for tasks using Monday.com task platform
  • Ability to conceptualize Graphic Design brief, prepare creative concepts and provide visual graphic design solutions, and revisions to ensure Brand Guidelines are consistently applied for each design task
  • Work closely with the GFA Design Team and internal stakeholders to create and develop design assets in timely manner, amending designs after feedback and ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.
  • Developing graphic design and illustrations for multiplatform channels, including social media, print and web base, using multi-software applications with some animation required.
  • Updating progress of all tasks in Monday.com platform
  • Prepare Brand eDMs utilising Pardot and Mailchimp as required (training provided).
  • Assist with tasks outside core responsibilities as needed, supporting the team and organisational priorities.

Selection Criteria

The team is looking for someone with newly level design experience, able to work across multiple touchpoints, with the ability to produce high quality creative from concept to completion. You will have an entry level knowledge of print, screen and digital platform production requirements and emerging proficiently level of skill in Adobe Creative Suite. A working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Canva (After Effects and Animate, would be advantageous). You will have excellent communication skills and be a super team player and lean into feedback for growth and opportunity. You will be able to work independently and remotely at times, in a communicative and collaborative manner.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Graphic Design Qualification Degree or Diploma
  • Minimum 1-2 years graphic design experience.
  • Experience with branding and brand design.
  • Team Player with passion for great design and attention for detail.
  • Entry proficient level graphic design skill using Adobe Suite apps: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Canva.
  • Emerging level graphic design skill in Adobe Suite apps like: Animate, AfterEfffects or other.
  • Experience with Video editing software PremierPro or others will be an advantage.
  • Experience using EDM platforms like Pardot, Mailchimp or others will be an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently as well as closely with hands-on Manager.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with a high degree of empathy, kindness, and care.

Terms Of Employment

We’re looking for someone to join us full-time (1.0 FTE), however we’re also open to part-time hours (0.8 FTE) for the right candidate. This role will initially be contracted for 12‑month aligned to grant funding, with the option to extend subject to ongoing funding. You’ll be based at our North Sydney head office, enjoying flexible hybrid work, spending up to half your time working from home
