Sports Marketing Intern - Summer 2026

As a Sports Marketing Intern, you will support our sports and entertainment marketing managers on the Rocket team while working on exciting projects that connect our brand with sports audiences. You will help research sponsorship opportunities, assist with event activations, and collaborate across teams to ensure our sports marketing initiatives are successful. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic world of sports marketing while becoming a vital part of our organization.

About The Role

• Conduct research on potential sponsors, industry trends, and competitor sponsorships to identify new opportunities
• Support event planning and sponsorship activations for tradeshows, the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and other key events
• Assist with the implementation of marketing campaigns related to our sports partnerships
• Work closely with Brand Marketing and other partner teams such as social media, brand media and PR
• Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of sponsorships, gathering data and feedback to inform future strategies
• Create and maintain sponsorship documentation and presentation materials
• Contribute creative ideas to enhance the impact of our sports marketing initiatives

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

• Understanding of sports marketing concepts and sponsorship activation
• Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, communications, or a related field
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and creative thinking abilities
• Strong time management skills and a self-motivated mentality

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous internship or work experience in marketing, events, or sports management
• Experience with data analysis and reporting
