As Area Manager for the dealer network in North America, you are responsible for driving Ponsse sales and service through strategic dealer partnerships. This includes close collaboration with dealers to provide essential support, training, and information—ensuring growth in machine sales and service while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
•Drive Ponsse sales and service through the dealer network by fostering strong partnerships and providing essential support, training, and information.•Develop and manage Ponsse business collaboratively with dealers, ensuring a positive dealer and customer experience.•Build and strengthen the dealer network into a true strategic partnership within the area.•Implement Ponsse strategy, processes, and practices to meet business targets for the dealer area and contribute to overall company goals.•Achieve country and/or area-specific sales and business objectives, delivering measurable value to dealers and customers.•Collaborate closely with area teams and across Ponsse to ensure an exceptional customer experience in the dealer area.•Maintain and enhance effective communication and cooperation between Ponsse and its dealers.•Identify and pursue growth opportunities for the dealer network within your area.•Lead target-setting discussions with dealers and co-develop action plans to achieve those targets.•Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities in alignment with Ponsse guidelines.•Attend area management team meetings to contribute to strategic planning and alignment.•Support regional dealers with industry research and market insights.Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree in forestry, business, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.·Prior experience in sales management, key account management, or customer relationship roles—preferably within the heavy machinery or dealer network sector.·Strong interest in understanding forest machine markets and customer decision-making processes in the heavy machinery industry.·Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.·Willingness to travel and maintain a strong presence across the assigned countries.·Collaborative and approachable mindset, with a clear focus on customer value and satisfaction.Join a Purpose-Driven Team in a Unique Family Business

- The noise level in the office setting is usually moderate. Exposure to loud vehicle/machine noises when in the shop or at events.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 175 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours.
Travel
Regular travel is expected for this position, including Internation travel.
- Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
- Speak English fluently.
