Position Summary

The National Accounts Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and growing key national customer relationships. This role drives revenue growth by developing account strategies, ensuring seamless execution across purchasing, operations, and customer service, and identifying new opportunities within accounts. The manager will lead onboarding for new national customers, resolve issues such as invoicing and warranties, and act as the primary point of contact to strengthen long-term partnerships. Success in this role requires strong sales leadership, relationship management, and data-driven decision-making skills, along with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Own and manage relationships with national accounts, acting as the primary point of contact and strategic partner.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities for expansion, new product adoption, and efficiency improvements within accounts.
  • Partner with purchasing, operations, and customer service to ensure seamless execution of customer programs.
  • Develop and implement account-specific sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor customer performance trends, identify risks, and proactively resolve challenges.
  • Oversee onboarding and integration for new national accounts.
  • Provide leadership and support to the sales team by sharing best practices, filling in for territory reps as needed, and ensuring high levels of communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations to streamline invoicing, resolve warranty issues, and ensure accuracy in account reporting.
  • Track and report on KPIs related to national account performance, growth, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four + years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%

Education And Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or related equivalent.
  • Prior related office experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
