The Business Risk and Controls works to optimize the operation of 1st Line of Defense Business, while driving adherence to TIAA Enterprise Risk Management Polices. Under limited supervision, this job will help establish a culture that supports intelligent risk-based decision making; and provide support to senior management in the process of improving governance through effective internal controls. Role also seeks to identify areas of vulnerability within the organization and assists in the development of corrective action plans.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Directs and assistis in documentation of significant business processes or areas of vulnerability.
- Assists in identifying emerging risks and trends (internal and external) that could potentially impact the goals and objectives of the business.
- Tests processes to verify controls; develops and implements required corrective actions to strengthen controls.
- Identifies and evaluates critical risks relating to or having an impact on the organizations first line of defense.
- Assists management in maintaining compliance with Enterprise Risk Management Policies and programs.

- Prior experience with 529 products
Custody Accounting Knowledge

- Strong interpersonal & communication skills (written as well as verbal)
Anticipated Posting End Date:
2025-10-21Base Pay Range: $81,800/yr - $131,000/yrActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
