Position: Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Eureka, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Pay Rate: $21.90/hour

JOB SUMMARY: BCI seeks a dedicated and passionate Security Officer to serve as an integral part of the security team. This incumbent protects staff and property from theft, damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence at different sites.

On a typical day as a Flex Security Officer, you can expect:

• Periodic Tours to secure areas
• Check for irregularities
• Be in charge of preserving order
• May enforce regulations pertaining to personnel and visitors
• Protecting staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the work place
• Control access to client facility through the admittance process
• Maintains and displays good public relations skills when interacting with visitors and staff
• Monitors entrance and exits
• Provides information regarding the facility and surrounding areas as requested by visitors
• Prevents unapproved or unlawful entry
• Prepare logs or reports as required for post
• Observes and reports incidents

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in security
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active guard card required
• Must be 21 years or older
