Learning Resource System Coordinator

Apex Technical School, a trusted vocational institution serving New York City since 1961, is seeking a dedicated Learning Center Resource Coordinator to support students in our Learning Resource Center (LRC). In this role, you’ll help ensure students have access to the books, technology, and academic tools they need to thrive in their training programs. Beyond managing resources, you’ll play an important part in student orientation, guiding learners as they get started and helping them feel supported throughout their journey. Compensation:$21.63/hr

Responsibilities

• Conduct orientation sessions for incoming students and guide them through the Learning Resource Center.
• Support students with accessing books, computers, printers, and other academic resources.
• Monitor and maintain learning materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist students with academic support tools such as Wonderlic.
• Order supplies, track inventory, and manage check-in/check-out systems for materials.
• Serve as a liaison between students and program staff for academic support needs.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience; experience supporting students is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic computer applications.
• Strong typing skills (30+ WPM).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse populations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
