We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to ensure adherence to all customer quality procedures from the receipt of fabric rolls through to the assembly and dispatch of completed garments in order to facilitate non-rejection of garments to customers 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure buyer requirements are fulfilled according to the given standards on receipt of fabric by conducting an inspection process for same.
  • Ensure quality processes pertaining to inspection are adhered whilst, solving fabric issues as and when required.
  • Ensure relaxation process of fabric which require relaxing by using C-Tex machine.
  • Ensure adherence to the standard process pertaining to laying fabric, and cutting fabric. whilst also, educating team and taking preventive action when required and liaise with relevant supplier in getting their feedback and perspective to solve any issues pertaining to their styles when needed.
  • Ensure first 10 pieces meet the recommended quality requirements as per the Customer Approved Sample.
  • Maintain a quality assurance system and ensure implementation and adherence of same by using TOP (Top of Production), FML (First Middle Last), Measles chart, Defect card system and Green card system across the organization and forward relevant documents to relevant personnel when needed.
  • Monitor hourly AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) and pre-final inspection of goods prior to shipment and solve issues such as measurement issues, construction issues when required and guide team on buyer requirements to ensure an efficient operation whilst, ensuring all garments leaving to final inspection meet customer quality requirements.
  • Monitor final inspection of goods prior to shipment and solve issues such as measurement issues, construction issues when required and guide team on buyer requirements to ensure an efficient operation whilst, ensuring all garments leaving the factory meet customer quality requirements.
  • Monitor wash test requirements and Internal Quality Reference Sample requirements in order to maintain the quality of same thereby, meeting customer requirements.
  • Liaise with Customer office in order to be up to date with regards to Customer requirements whilst also, educating team with regards to same.
  • Liaise with suppliers in order to ensure proper adherence to procedures (Metal Detector procedures) whilst, suggesting alternative procedures as per customer requirements as and when required.
  • Ensure product safety precautions are taken such as maintaining test methods for the factory, ensuring adherence to given standards whilst, guiding and educating employees of same in order to maintain a smooth process thereby, satisfying customer requirements.
  • Perform the following activities in order to facilitate effective operations:
  • Review the following reports and forward to relevant personnel when needed for perusal:
  • Participate in relevant meetings such as start-up, pre-production meetings etc. and ensure all details are followed by the team during production.
  • Conduct a monthly process audit in order to ensure adherence to given standards and procedures in a timely and effective manner.
  • Participate in quality forums and discuss all details pertaining to same.
  • Guide relevant personnel in order to obtain Customer Certified Auditor qualification and conduct training programmes for employees when required.
  • Quality performance report with information such as number of monthly audits, pass rate, major defects, precautions taken.
  • Wash test report.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Degree in Textiles or relevant Qualification.
  • Garment Technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge on product quality like Lululemon & Lacoste.
  • Customer knowledge Quality in control & Quality Management.
  • 5 - 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Good Communication skills.
